Justins and Julie's DAY-OF-FUN!!!

If any of you are fans of the show Friends, then you would remember Joey and Janice's DAY OF FUN! Well, I can guarantee that Justin and I had way more fun than Joey ever would with Janice on our day of fun. My wonderful husband turned 28 on Thursday the 24th and for his birthday we went to Traverse City Michigan (thanks to the Dockters for telling us about it!). He took his shelf exam Friday for internal medicine and was out by 10:30am. It's not very often that Justin has a test on a Friday and then has the rest of the day off AND the weekend so I knew I had to take my chance and plan a weekend for us to get away as a family. Here are some pics of our first family mini vacation.
This is a little shop called Cherry Republic. They have tons of samples to try there and they were all so delicious. Everything was Cherry something: Cherry Rootbeer, Cherry BBQ sauce, Cherry Mustard, Cherry Chocolates, dried Cherry cookies, Cherry Salsa... I was in heaven!

Lake Michigan. You would not believe how clear this lake was, as you can see, I could not believe it either!

I love these sandy little feet. Jace loved digging his toes into the sand!

When we left I asked Justin what his favorite part of the trip was, he said skipping rocks on the lake. He was amazing! Here is him in action!

Cohen was thrilled he could actually get on the "choo choo tats"
One of the view points on our scenic drive.
Cohen trying to push Jace to the Lake.

This picture is dedicated to Robb and Maddy. Look at how centered it is! I am amazing at self portraits!
Our little family on top of the sand dunes.
I was so impressed with Cohen. He climbed all the way to the top all by him self. It was a great way to wear him out! After we were all done Cohen just kept telling us, "Cohen tired, Cohen tired."
This is when we got lost, what a pretty... but random drive we had!

We finally just unplugged the phone in the hotel room because Cohen kept calling out.
It took about 4 hours to get up to Traverse City and it was the most pretty drive I have ever taken. The trees were just starting to change and the freeway was lined with them the whole way!
The day of Justin's birthday, we had our favorite neighbor in the world over. We love you Carol!
Carol also brought Justin a turtle pie! Thanks to Cody and Natalie, this is our new favorite birthday treat. Justin was in heaven!

Apple Picking

The past 3 years our ward has had an apple picking activity at a local apple orchard. And every year... it rains. This year was no different. Luckily we had just as much fun this year as we have had in the past. And I think Cohen especially liked helping get the apples.
This is Cohen's, "look at me and smile Cohen" smile. Nice and cheesy!

I think Jace even had a good time. Thank goodness he does not have teeth yet, otherwise he might of not gotten the apple to suck on.

Also, here are some cute shots I got of my little Jacer man the other night. He is getting so big! This stage is just so much fun because their personality starts to come out and they are still immobile so they don't wreck the house up yet.

And her is a little video Cohen and Jace. Cohen loves to make Jace laugh.... unfortunately, he also likes to make him cry, but we don't like to show that part.

New Vinyl

New vinyl creations are on my site. They are mostly all the things that I sold at the Farmers Market. I had some things there that were just vinyl that are hard to take pics of. So feel free to look. And please feel free to make comments so that I know which ones are liked more than others, I have a hard time with just going on my opinion.

How to Save 600 Bucks A Year!

When your a medical student you try to find ways to cut corners on your budget at all times. Like down grading your car insurance, buying cloths at second hand stores (I love once upon a child!) and my new personal favorite.... POTTY TRAINING. I was spending about 50 bucks a month just on Cohen for diapers and wipes. And not to mention the hassle of changing diapers of 2 kids! So last Monday, we started what I though would be a horrid process of training Cohen. Before I started, we got some books from the library to read to Cohen, he loved The Potty Train book, "Chugga Chugga... Poo Poo!". I also read Potty Training in Less than a Day. I studied different suggestions online and when Monday came, I felt prepared to tackle the challenge at hand. Cohen has been awesome. After 3 days, we were only having one accident a day. And now, he has been dry for 2 days. I never have to remind him or ask him if he needs to go, he just says, "Oh mommy... pee pee". Once standing in front of the toilet he says with eagerness... "It's coming!" And once it comes he simply says..."Oh! There it is, bye bye pee pees!" Overall it's been a very positive experience. Cohen has always responded so well to positive reinforcement, and that's been our prime motive in training him. Also, he hates to make us sad, so once he had an accident, I would just act really sad and all he wanted to do is make it better.
Great Job Cohen.... I love you!

Ready or not..... here it comes!

For the last few weeks, I have been going crazy mad on getting my vinyl business up and running. In my efforts to follow through with this, I decided to sign up for a booth at one of the farmers markets at Fallen Timbers Mall. I am now sitting here at 2:14 am (the night before my booth opens up for business) wondering why in the world I thought that this was a good idea. But as I gaze out at my mess of a house that has been the result of my previous ambitions, I have to say, I am pleased with the results of the products that have been created the last few weeks and now I will be keeping my fingers crossed that the people of Toledo think the same thing. Wish me luck!

6 Months Old!

Has it really been six months since my little Jacers came into our family? Time has seemed to go by so much faster with Jace than with Cohen and I feel he is just growing up faster than I would like. So here are some things about Jacers that we love!

He is such a smiler. Jace shows so much emotion, whether it's crying, laughing, or being sad. Jace is also a wiggle worm. Even when I feed him, he is constantly kicking his feet and trying to roll around. He loves to stand and sit up. But most of all, he LOVES to go in the stroller and be held, but only if you are walking around. Jace also loves his brother! His favorite is to sit next to Cohen and play cars (or watch Cohen play with cars on his head). And even though Jace is still having a hard time sleeping through the night, we love him oh so dearly! How could you not, he is such a stink'n cutie!
